Black Friday
Today is “Black Friday,” the name given to the day after Thanksgiving when many businesses and shops conduct sales in hope of moving them “into the black.” Black Friday became identified with shopping and sales in the late 1960’s. Below are photos of local businesses and shops that conducted business prior to Black Friday.
