Dr. Morris Joelson

On May 23, 2024, the Jewish Historic Society of North Jersey held their eighth annual dinner honoring Dr. Morris Joelson and Miriam Kraemer Gray. For those who missed the gala, the following is a brief history of Dr. Joelson’s life and his contributions, including a selection of photos. Next week we will feature a brief history and photos of Miriam Kraemer Gray.

Doc Joelson (on the right) and his younger brother, Harry, who became a lawyer and then a judge in Paterson. Harry married Doc’s wife’s best friend, Jennie Ellenstein, and was father to Miriam and Charles (Chuck) who became a US Congressional Representative for eight years and then a NJ Superior Court judge.
