Benjamin Horwich
This week we are featuring Patersonian Benjamin Horwich (1874-1942). Benjamin was a major Jewish philanthropist and community leader in Paterson. Among his credits, he served as president of the Paterson Hebrew Free Loan Association and the Barnert Hebrew Free School. He also served on the Boy Scout executive board for 24 years. He was a close friend of Nathan Barnert and served with him on many Jewish fund raisers and campaigns. Pictured below are selected photos and memorabilia of Benjamin Horwich.
