It’s coming to the end of the year, and we thought this would be a good time to showcase some of this year’s new acquisitions. Below are samplings of this years donated materials. The end of the year is also a good time for you, our readers, to clean out your closets and storage areas to see what items you may want to donate to the Jewish Historical Society of North Jersey.

Paterson YM-YWHA girl’s swimming suit donated by Arlene Glassman. Back in the 1950’s this was a requirement for women to go swimming in the Y pool. Does anyone know what the required attire looked like for the men? Would you believe au naturel?
An example of a Hebrew Free Loan Association borrower's record card. JHSNJ has hundreds of these record cards indicating the type of loans given out by the Hebrew Free Loan Association. Record cards were donated by the Westerman Family.
