The Panther Club

The Panther Club - The Panther Club was a Paterson-based Jewish social club that was established in 1928 and lasted for more than 30 years. The Club sponsored yearly picnics that drew many families and young adults. The Club also staged elaborate musicals and comedy shows at the Paterson Y that were very popular with the Jewish community. Many times the shows involved men dressed up as women who performed in drag to loud applause and catcalls from the audience. Below are photos of some of the shows that were produced. Please help us identify the names of these shows, the folks that participated in them and the dates of the photos.
