You are invited to join us when retired New Jersey Judge Philip Carchman speaks about the intriguing stories behind the eight Jewish Supreme Court Justices who have served on the United States Supreme Court.  His presentation dates back to1916 when President Woodrow Wilson appointed the first Jewish Supreme Court Justice, Louis Brandeis. 

Judge Carchman’s presentation will examine the Justices’ lives, their legal careers, their appointment to the bench, and their legacies. During a distinguished career in the law spanning almost 60 years, Judge Carchman has authored over 1200 written opinions and sat in every judicial position in New Jersey, including temporary assignments to the Supreme Court.
