Who Am I? March 2022

I’m a pre-millennial that was born on the west coast to British parents. Dad was a real estate agent and a financial consultant who loved the ponies. I started modeling at age 6 and by age 15 I had myself declared an “emancipated child” so that I could work full-time on my career. No, I didn’t skip my bat-mitzvah! 

My breakout film occurred in 1994 and I’ve never looked back. Since then I’ve made about a dozen movies. My success in music videos revived a well- known band. People are surprised that I can actually dance and sing and those talents led to theatrical roles “on Broadway.” To dispel the notion that I’m just a pretty face, I’ve even found time to author a couple of books. After years of courting, I finally I married my long-time boyfriend, who is a rock musician.

I am a vegan and one of the books I published was a diet book. My house has solar panels and an organic vegetable garden. As you might expect I am an advocate for both animal rights and the environment. In the spring of 2014 I came to your local “Bookends” store in Ridgewood to promote one of my books and sign copies. Were you in the crowd that day? That’s me wearing one of my tweed hats below.
