Simchat Torah
Simchat Torah means “rejoicing of the Torah.” It is the holiday when we celebrate and mark the conclusion of the annual reading of the Torah and the beginning of the new reading cycle. Torah cover from Temple Emanuel in Paterson that says In Memory of Mrs. Ida Rafelson. Cover was donated by Mary and Jacob Davis. Ida Rafelson was the mother of Mary Davis. On the top, in Hebrew, it reads, "crown of the Torah" and in Hebrew, on the bottom, it reads, "To the Memory of Idaleh, daughter of Avraham."
