Sukkot

This evening begins Sukkot (the harvest holiday) celebrating the end of the agricultural year which also commemorates the Exodus from Egypt. This structure commemorates the temporary dwellings that sheltered our ancestors on their way out of Egypt. Their structure is often decorated with fruits and vegetables and decorative crafts and artwork. Below are archived photos of a Leonia’s Congregation Sons of Israel Sisterhood sponsored crafts work session in preparation for the holiday.  Please help us identify these folks. We hope you enjoy dining in your sukkah at home or in your place of worship this upcoming week!
